President Johnson with Guests Following Marshall Swearing-In
This photograph is of President Lyndon B. Johnson with Solicitor General Thurgood Marshall and his family following Marshall's swearing-in ceremony on August 24, 1965. Johnson invited several guests to meet Marshall and his family in the Oval Office including the ambassador of the Central African Republic, H.E. Michel Gallin-Douathe, Attorney General Nicholas deB. Katzenbach, and FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover.
